TDS from business clients
When a business client pays you less the TDS it deducted, record the TDS on the invoice and track the Form 16A it owes you.
A business client paying a professional fee may deduct TDS under section 194J and pay you the rest. The TDS settles that part of the invoice; you claim it against the client's Form 16A.
- Open the invoice and choose Record TDS.
- Type the TDS deducted and the date it was Deducted on. Add the Client's TAN if you have it.
- Tick Record the payment that came with it to record the rest they paid in the same step.
- Choose Save TDS.

Rates and the amounts above which TDS applies are set by income-tax law and change. Bliss does not check them: record what the client actually deducted.
The TDS report
Go to Billing reports and choose TDS. It shows each quarter's deductions, the certificates still awaited and when each is due (15 August, 15 November, 15 February and 15 June), and CSV for Form 26AS to check against your Form 26AS.
